Cincinnati Public Schools Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony

Cincinnati Public Schools and the Athletic Department are ecstatic to announce the induction class for the 2024 CPS Athletics Hall of Fame. These individuals were nominated for their accomplishments throughout their careers as CPS student athletes or coaches.
The inductees will be honored with an awards banquet, held on Thursday, October 10th, at TQL Stadium (home of FC Cincinnati).
5:30 pm – Doors Open / Cocktail Hour
6:30 pm – Dinner
7:00 pm – Award Ceremony
The Class of 2024 Living Athletes are Tyrone Brown (Withrow 1991), Jennifer Hogan (Western Hills 1996), Shana Darden (Taft 2005), Danny Horace (Western Hills 2001), Ashley Liverpool (Walnut Hills 2010), Phillip Ritchie (Withrow 1961), Andrea Smythe (CAPE 1989), and Skyler Willis-Walton (Withrow 2011).
The Class of 2024 Coaches are E.A. Poos (Hughes, Woodward: football, basketball, baseball, cross country, gymnastics, and track) and Larry Wetenkamp (Taft, Hughes, Western Hills: gymnastics, volleyball, track, baseball, cross country, football, golf)
The Class of 2024 Posthumous Athletes are Gary Cobb (Withrow 1956), Walt Maerki (Withrow 1938), Jule Rosenthal (Hughes 1938), and Frank Shands (Hartwell HS 1940).
The Class of 2024 will also include Honorary Selection, David Dierker (Former CPS District Athletic Director).
